Multiple layers of alkyd oil paint tints are deposited on top of each other. after each subsequent layer is completely dry. The picture is enhanced by hand and is covered by a layer of Dorland wax which is polished after drying. 

Craftsmanship

Through millennia art referred to skills through learning and practice it was true in all forms of arts and artistic expressions. Artist should know how to chisel through marble and granite to liberate sculptures, cast gypsum and bronze, cut through wood, prepare canvas, mix and apply colors that should survive centuries. All these skills are learned and acquired through practice. For Artworks to be collectible the first-pre-requisite is craftsmanship to survive ions.

Underlying meaning 

In all arts the artist toolbox has powerful tool called composition. Composition is the “underlying meaning” through which an artwork communicates and creates the association bound with the audience. If the composition of an artwork is uniquely balanced artwork speaks loudly without any need of explaining or interpretation.
