Rarity & Unique
Rarity and Unique
Rarity encompasses a distinct set of characteristics compared to the term "Original." The term "Original" refers to a single piece of artwork that has been created and signed by the artist. While reproductions of the Original may exist, these are typically signed and numbered by the artist as copies, often in limited editions, such as 50 copies. In essence, Rarity indicates that among numerous Originals, a specific Original is one of the few or the only one thus deemed Rare. A piece is considered Unique when it exhibits exceptional craftsmanship, represents a significant pivotal moment in artistic expression, or serves as an ancient artifact that reflects cultural achievements. The attributes associated with being "rare" and “unique“ suggest that the artifact is a human creation of cultural and historical significance.
We classify our artworks as follows:
Original (One of the kind) Signed by Author accompanied by the Certificate of Authenticity
Reproduction (a copy) Signed and Numbered by hand where number is sequential and Total number is the size of Edition (for example 5 of 30 ) Limited Edition of 30.
Open Edition (copies) signed but not numbered
